Es una de las carreras de milla urbana más antiguas de España, con una distancia de 1609 metros sobre asfalto. La organización corre a cargo del Club Municipal Atletismo Arganda en colaboración con el Ayuntamiento de Arganda del Rey y la Federación de Atletismo de Madrid.
